Your website is the foundation of everything you do online. Whether you’re running paid ads, building your SEO, or getting recommended by AI search tools, it all starts here. If your site is outdated, slow, or failing to convert visitors into enquiries, no amount of marketing budget will fix that.
We design and build websites for UK SMEs that look professional, load quickly, rank well in search, and turn visitors into customers – on WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce.

Smarter marketing, not just more marketing.
Most outdated websites don’t announce themselves with a fanfare. They just quietly underperform – loading slowly, failing to rank in search results, looking unprofessional on mobile, and leaking potential customers to competitors with better sites. If you’ve been investing in SEO, PPC, or any other digital marketing activity without addressing the website itself, you may be spending money to drive traffic to a site that can’t convert it.
There’s a second, increasingly urgent dimension to this. AI-powered search tools – Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others – are now a significant and growing source of how businesses are discovered online. These tools read, analyse, and synthesise your website content to decide whether to recommend you. A poorly structured, thin, or technically flawed website simply won’t be recommended, regardless of how well-known your business is.
The businesses getting ahead right now are the ones treating their website as a strategic asset, not an afterthought.
A well-designed website achieves three things simultaneously: it represents your brand with authority, it ranks well in search, and it converts visitors into customers. These aren’t separate goals – they’re deeply interconnected, and we design for all three from the outset.
Every website we build is fully optimised for SEO from day one. That means proper technical foundations – fast page speeds, clean code, correct heading structures, schema markup, and mobile responsiveness – combined with content that’s written and structured to rank for the search terms your customers are actually using.
We also build with AI Search Optimisation in mind. The structure of your content, the clarity of your service descriptions, and the authority signals on your site all influence whether AI tools recommend your business. Traditional SEO remains the primary driver of commercial search traffic in the UK today, but the two are increasingly inseparable – good SEO is good AI search optimisation, and we build for both.
We build websites that score well on Google's Core Web Vitals - the speed and user experience signals that directly affect how Google ranks your site. Slow websites cost you rankings and customers.
Most agencies treat SEO as something you add to a website after it's built. We consider keyword strategy, content structure, and technical SEO at the design stage, so your site is built to rank rather than retrofitted later.
A beautiful website that generates no enquiries is a brochure, not a business tool. We design clear conversion pathways, prominent calls-to-action, and trust signals that give visitors reasons to get in touch.
Whether your business needs WordPress, Shopify, or WooCommerce, we build on the right platform for your goals - and we build it properly, without cutting corners on performance or scalability.

A Straightforward Process, Start to Finish
We start by understanding your business, your customers, and your goals. We research your market and competitors, agree on the site structure and keyword targets, and define what success looks like before any design work begins.
We design and build your site with SEO, performance, and conversion at the core. You'll have clear checkpoints throughout the process, and we work collaboratively to make sure the final site accurately represents your brand and meets your brief.
We handle the full launch process, including technical checks, Google Search Console setup, and site submission. We don't disappear after go-live - we monitor performance and are available to make adjustments as your site beds in.

A local heating and plumbing specialist installing over 500 boilers a year across Cheshire, Stockport, and Manchester. Add Heat needed a site that could support an ambitious local SEO strategy across multiple geographic areas while clearly communicating their credentials - Gas Safe registered, Worcester Bosch accredited, OFTEC registered - to customers making important purchasing decisions. Following the rebuild, Add Heat saw a significant increase in both SEO rankings and customer enquiries.
A commercial heating, air conditioning, and ventilation contractor with over 40 years of experience, based in Manchester city centre and serving businesses across the North West. Atmostherm needed a site that matched the quality and credibility of their work and clearly communicated their breadth of services to commercial clients. The rebuilt site delivered a significant uplift in search rankings and inbound enquiries from commercial buyers.
A specialist supplier of mobility bathroom products - wet rooms, grab rails, walk-in baths, and accessible bathroom solutions - serving both trade and retail customers nationwide with a Manchester showroom. Adaptation Supplies required a fully functional ecommerce site capable of presenting a large product catalogue clearly and driving both online sales and showroom visits. The rebuild produced significant improvements in organic search rankings and a measurable increase in both online orders and trade enquiries.
A specialist family law firm with offices in Whitefield, Manchester and Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, set up by experienced solicitors who wanted to offer expert advice with a more personal, accessible approach than large commercial firms. Evolve Family Law needed a site that communicated both their legal expertise and their approachable ethos, and that could support a substantial content and SEO strategy built around detailed legal topic pages. Following the rebuild, Evolve saw significant growth in organic search rankings and a strong increase in enquiries from prospective clients across Manchester and Cheshire.
Don’t just take our word for it
It depends on what you need. Rather than give you a figure here that may not be relevant to your situation, we’ve put our pricing on our Our Prices page so you can see what different types of projects typically cost before we’ve even spoken. We don’t have hidden costs or surprise invoices.
A typical WordPress website build takes eight to twelve weeks from the point we have all the content and assets we need. Ecommerce builds vary more depending on the size of the product catalogue and the complexity of the requirements. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the outset and keep you updated throughout.
Yes, we can. If you have existing content that needs updating or restructuring, we work with it. If you need content written from scratch, we can provide that as part of the project. Content is discussed as part of the initial scope conversation.
We don’t disappear after go-live. We handle the technical launch process, including setting up or connecting your Google Search Console and Google Analytics accounts, submitting your sitemap, and monitoring the site as it beds in. Many of our web design clients also work with us on an ongoing SEO or marketing retainer once the site is live.
Yes, without exception. All our builds are fully responsive and tested across devices. Given that mobile devices account for over half of all web traffic in the UK, a site that doesn’t perform on mobile isn’t fit for purpose.
Not with us. Your contract will only be for the timescale of the design and build of your website. We do require 50% payment before work starts.
That depends on your business model and your goals. If you’re primarily a service business or professional services firm, WordPress is almost always the right choice. If you’re running an ecommerce store, the choice between Shopify and WooCommerce depends on your catalogue size, your technical requirements, and how much flexibility you need. We’ll recommend the right platform for your situation as part of our initial conversation.
The main things we need from you are your brand assets (logo, colours, any existing brand guidelines), an understanding of your services or products and your target customers, and any existing content you want to retain. We’ll guide you through everything else.
Call us on 01928 391 273, email [email protected] or fill in the form and we’ll get in touch asap.
